Changes in Caruna’s ownership

News
Caruna’s shareholders have agreed on a transaction that will result in changes to the company’s ownership structure.

Under the transaction, KKR will divest its entire 40% ownership stake in Caruna, and Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan (OTPP) will also sell its shareholding (40%) in the company. Upon completion of the transaction, Iberdrola will become the majority owner of Caruna. The ownership stakes of pension insurance company Elo (7.5%) and AMF (12.5%) will remain unchanged.

As customary, the completion of the transaction is subject to the necessary regulatory approvals.

The ownership change will have no impact on Caruna’s operations, customers, employees, partners, or ongoing investments. The company’s business operations will continue as normal.
