Second part of Caruna Oy's price increase to take effect from 1 August 2023
As cost increases have continued, Caruna will implement the second part of the projected price increase from 1 August 2023 in Caruna Oy. The price increase was split into two parts to mitigate the impact of the increases on customers, especially given the high energy costs in winter. The first part of the price increase took effect from 1 January 2023.

Electricity solutions for specific needs: Cultivation with grow lighting in greenhouses uses a lot of electricity for the needs of growing
In Finland, the growing season is naturally short, but by using grow lighting, Finnish crops can be produced year round. Lighting that provides strength to growth is the biggest electricity user in a greenhouse, and annual usage can easily reach tens of thousands of megawatt hours. Electricity for the Juntti market garden will soon be delivered via their own Caruna primary substation
Industrial electricity tax to be lowered as of 1 January 2021
The industrial electricity tax included in the electricity distribution invoice will be lowered to 0.063 c/kWh at the beginning of the year. The change also applies to commercial greenhouse production.
Crowd efforts further improve electricity network safety – Caruna and Posti continue collaboration
Ensuring the security and as needed, repairs of the electricity network is the most crucial part of the service provided by Caruna to its customers. Pilot collaboration of Caruna and Posti started in 2018 expands in the summer of 2019.

Caruna's customers were given a golden opportunity to manage the start-up schedules of electrical devices, such as water boilers. This brings relief to the electricity invoice, as devices can be turned on during the cheapest hours of electricity. At the same time, the customer inadvertently does a service to the climate.

Caruna offers its private customers a free three months' respite for payment and expedites the payment of invoices to contractors
The option to extend the payment deadline applies to all of Caruna's private customers, around 600,000 in total. By this measure, Caruna wants to do its part in helping to alleviate the financial impacts of the coronavirus epidemic on its customers.
