Caruna's Service fee rates
We apply the below rates in all our network areas. If a job is performed outside working hours (weekdays 8am – 4pm), the service fee is doubled.
Free-of-charge services
- Change of network service product (once a year)
- Meter reading in normal reading rhythm and when moving house
- Removal of meter
- Advice on felling trees
- Reconnection of electricity when moving house
- Cable marking, when the order has been placed at least three working days in advance. Actual costs are charged for cable markings outside Caruna's network areas.

- Interruption of electricity supply ordered by the electricity seller is invoiced to the electricity seller as a service subject to value added tax of EUR 50.20 (VAT 25.5%).
- For late payment, interest on arrears is charged in accordance with the Interest Act.
- The network service maintenance fee is invoiced if the customer wants to suspend the use of electricity but keep a valid connection contract. The maintenance fee is also charged if a network service contract has not been concluded by the end of the calendar year following the completion of a new electricity connection.
- The price applies to the order when Caruna has received a fault report, for example, in the event of a fire or a fault in the customer's network. The price is valid every day around the clock.
What do the various service fees mean?
Electrician's customer call-out charge
Charged if Caruna's subcontractor cannot perform the work at the scheduled time due to potential installation deficiencies or during fault work if the fault is found to be on the customer's network side.
Disconnecting or reconnecting equipment to the network
Charged once per job/connection when the equipment needs to be temporarily de-energized or when modifications are made to the connection line by the customer's contractor. Also charged when a maintenance connection is reactivated within a year of placing the connection into maintenance.
Meter relocation
Charged when the electricity meter is moved from one location to another. For example, during the renewal of the switchboard, the meter is moved from the existing switchboard to the new one.
Express delivery
Connection activation or other service work delivered urgently within 1-9 working days. The possibility of express delivery is always checked on a case-by-case basis.
Hourly charge for office work
Charged on a case-by-case basis when broader data extractions are made upon specific request, which are available in the customer's self-service channels. Also charged if the customer cancels the connection order and work has already been done for the order.
Collection of overdue invoices by Ropo
Charges for collection measures are in accordance with the law on the collection of receivables. The cost of collection measures performed by Ropo also takes into account actions required by the Electricity Market Act during the collection phase (such as sending a disconnection warning).
