Caruna's Annual Report 2021 published
The Caruna Group (Caruna) Annual Report for 2021 has been published at caruna.fi/vuosiraportti2021. The Annual Report contains sections on Corporate Responsibility and Governance and, as separate pdf files, also the ESG indicator section that summarises number data, as well as the financial statements for 2021.
Hats off to the municipalities in Caruna's network area for occupational safety
Safety is a team effort at Caruna. We are not satisfied with fulfilling the letter of the law – we want to do more. That is why during the last 18 months, we have provided safety training for almost 700 employees of municipalities and their partners within the 51 municipalities of our network area. Safety
Caruna and municipalities are working together to hire young people for summer jobs in municipalities
During this challenging pandemic period, Caruna wants to support the municipalities in its area and help them recruit young people aged 16 to 20 for summer jobs. Each municipality participating in the Duunienergiaa (Work Energy) campaign receives 4,000 euros for this purpose. Currently, 29 municipalities across Finland have already registered for the campaign. The municipality of Isojoki in South Ostrobothnia was the first to join the campaign.
Caruna gets its own godoldster - work for a young person, a friend for an elderly person
Caruna participates in elderly service company Gubbe's Happy Old Age sponsor activities. The aim of the sponsor activities is to help elderly people suffering from loneliness and to provide meaningful work for young people.
Caruna in 2019: local progress is being made on building a reliable electricity network
Caruna is overhauling the electricity network at a healthy pace. An electricity network built to address future needs will be able to cope with higher electricity consumption and tolerate the stresses caused by climate change without long power cuts.
